Recently, I had the opportunity to guest on the Page 2 Podcast - which is a great podcast for SEOs. You should check it out - and not because I happened to be a guest.

In this episode with Jacob, I talk about life in-house, the best ways I've found in dealing with so much pressure from the day to day stresses as an SEO.

I also asked Jacob as someone on the agency side how he deals with in-house SEOs and what, if anything, he felt we should be aware of.

Having the opportunity to learn from others in your shoes is always a great way to keep learning in your career.

You can attend search conferences, and you should but why not look to other means to learn from.

Podcasts are a great easy way to learn on the go. All too often, I find myself listening to so many podcasts while I'm running, or driving or doing just about anything else really - that isn't something that requires my full attention or concentration.

Here's a few other podcasts I'd highly recommend you give a listen to

  1.  Search Engine Nerds (Search Engine Journal)
  2.  SEO 101 on Webmaster Radio
  3.  Search Talk Live Search Engine Marketing & SEO Podcast
  4.  Experts on the Wire - with Dan Shure
  5.  Page 2 Podcast - Jacob Stoops
  6.  Marketing Speak - Stephan Spencer

There's so many ways to learn and grow in your SEO career - give these a listen and comment below if you know of others I should include here.

There are many ways for in-house SEOs to grow and mature in their positions, attending conferences is one great way to do this. Reading Reddit SEO groups, and joining in Facebook SEO groups is another. Take advantage of listening to any number of the podcasts I've mentioned above, is a great way to make your commute a little more fun.

If you are interested in being featured in a podcast, here's a little tip.... Just Ask. What's the worst thing that can happen, they say no?

Sharing your knowledge with other SEOs helps make our world a little easier. Whether that's through podcasting or speaking at an event, just go after it - share, learn and grow!
